Symptoms of alcohol withdrawal(AW) may range in severity from mild tremors to massive convulsions. Mild AW can cause pain and suffering; severe AW can be life-threatening.

The goals of AW treatment are to relieve the patient’s discomfort, prevent the occurrence of more serious symptoms, and forestall cumulative effects that might worsen future withdrawals.

Alcoholics Anonymous the 12 Steps program was formed to aid with the recovery from alcohol. Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of the program. Giving first name and not talking about people we see, or repeat what we hear at meetings.
